I earned my master’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota. I then earned Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Minnesota School of Social Work.

I have worked in the social work field for many years with the following work experiences:  Program director at a treatment group home for adolescents and a group home that taught independent living skills to adolescents, Minnesota Department of Corrections at Stillwater, Lino Lakes, and Rush City, Minnesota Department of Human Services working at a state hospital for civilly committed individuals, residential treatment programs for both men and women in Grand Rapids, MN for co-occurring mental health and substance use. Most recently I worked at an outpatient clinic in Beaverton OR, for individuals returning to the community post-incarceration or while on probation.

LICENSURE: Independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

SPECIALTY: I specialize in trauma, adjustment to new circumstances, anxiety, depression, and legal issues.  I provide services to adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I am guided by trauma informed care and client centered care as essential to achieving optimum mental health.

Interventions include but are not limited to: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psycho-education, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, support and reflection.
