I completed a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sioux Falls Seminary (formerly North American Baptist Seminary) in 1995 and was licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Minnesota in March of 1998. In July of 2007 I completed the Approved Supervisor designation from the MN Bd of MFT and in July of 2015 I completed the national Approved Supervisor designation from AAMFT. I completed a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) from Argosy University Twin cities in May 2016.

LICENSURE: Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

SPECIALTY: Providing direct service to clients and families or supervising other practitioners and clinical licensure trainees since June of 1995. I have also served as the Program Coordinator for Home and Community-based CTSS for Stellher Human Services since 2001.  I have received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and in evidenced-based Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) through PracticeWise.  Most recently receiving training (2022) in EMDR.

I also enjoy collaborating with other providers and stakeholders to develop new programming to meet mental health needs in the communities and the region of MN which is the area served by Stellher Human Services.  I have three adult children and six grandchildren and love spending time being Grandpa, fishing, biking, and traveling with my wife.
