McKenzie Cody received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2014 and then attended the University of North Dakota, where she received a Masters of Social Work in 2015. McKenzie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota, currently working as a Mental Health Professional in Detroit Lakes, MN with Stellher Human Services, INC.

SPECIALTY training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) including grief/loss and bereavement. She provides individual therapy to a variety of populations including; children, adolescents, young adults through late adulthood using solution-focused, person-centered, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral modalities. Her areas of specialty are with adolescents through adulthood, especially those with behavioral difficulties, personality disorder, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and trauma. Offers psychotherapy to individuals and families. Experience with mental health case management, CTSS, foster care, and child protective services, and foster care.

McKenzie works hard to connect with her clients in meeting them where they are at in their lives. To find ways to bring hope, healing, and positivity with a strengths-based approach to the therapy process.
